Named one of Newcity’s top 50 design professionals, Anna Hovet Dias has 17 years experience in fashion business and manufacturing. She is a well-known figure in the Chicago community, best known for her former fashion line HØVET, and her work as the Executive Director of the Chicago Fashion Incubator at Macy’s on State Street and as a Fashion Professor at several higher education institutions. Her previous company, Høvet Fashion Studio, helped launch over 50 apparel companies with apparel manufacturing consulting services. She currently serves on the Chicago Fashion Week steering committee and is always looking for fashion opportunities in Chicago and the Minneapolis area.
In the 2010s Anna built Hovet Apparel - an athleisure brand made in Chicago and sold internationally. Over the last 5 years, she's moved into apparel production consulting and working as a professor of Fashion Design, Illustration, and Fashion History. View her Tedx Talk below.
